Carol’s early work did not include landscape. It was only when Carol began solitary winter hill-walking that she was inspired to express the dramatic reality and spirituality of mountains. The first of these paintings were on a very large scale: six feet by eight. More recent small landscapes enjoy transient light on frosts around her locale.
